Newark and Sherwood District Champions

Our girls were absolutely fabulous in last week's tournament at King's Academy. 

They fought off tough competition in the group stage to top the group and progress to the semi-finals without conceding a goal and scoring 8.

They won their semi final 2-0 against Chuter Ede Balderton and set up  another final against the very talented Barnby Road. 

The final was a tense affair and despite lots of exciting and competitive football it finished 0-0 - the dreaded penalties!

Lowe's Wong emerged victorious after some fine penalty saves from both keepers and superb spot kicks!

Both teams showed an incredible attitude and sportsmanship. We will now go on and play in the Nottinghamshire County Finals at Sutton Lawns in November - well played girls and good luck!
